Meet Claire
Claire Irving (she/her)
Claire is passionate about unlocking problems and
creating space for people to achieve their best.
From her experience as a Chief Executive and
as part of senior leadership teams, Claire has an
incredible track record of developing amazing
cultures and forming strategies for results. She
uses her compassionate leadership skills to
empower others and help them find the solutions
they need to make things even better. She knows what it’s like to work within uncertainty, challenge and complexity, but never loses sight of people and the purpose of the organisation.
Claire uses her values, curiosity and authentic approach to connect with people and loves to share joy and inspire. She’s been lucky enough to work at some fantastic organisations with amazing people and is inspired by new experiences, loving the thrill of a challenge. Establishing Better with Siobhan is the perfect way for Claire to get even more of this inspiration while sharing her 20+ years' experience and expertise in leadership, governance, culture, strategy, brand and voluntary income generation across the commercial and third sector.
You’ll find Claire going to gigs and stand up, spending time with mates and family, and trying to like cold water swimming so that she can wear a DryRobe without fear of reproach. She has a cat called Alan.

Meet Siobhan
Siobhan Meaker (she/her)
After 10 years of textbook career progression in
agency PR and communications, a dark night of
the soul in her early 30s lead Siobhan into the
third sector, in pursuit of purpose. Here, she honed
her unique mix of skills in reputation management,
marketing, income generation, compassionate
leadership, service design and delivery: all against
the backdrop of challenge and change that
charities face. She also lived through a blood cancer diagnosis which inspired many of her career and life choices post treatment.
An empathic and inspiring leader, she thrives on bringing teams and people together to solve problems and connect with what really matters. As a guest lecturer in crisis communications at Kingston University, an experienced change management coach, comedy writer and covers band frontwoman, she’s an able and entertaining facilitator who prides herself on creating safe spaces for people to be heard.
She believes things are better when you look for the joy and that life is too short for poor quality tea. She’s appeared on Match of the Day, had her name censored on Channel 4 and correctly answered “The Karma Sutra” on University Challenge.
